Limited-edition messenger bag now available to REDF supporters!
Receive your choice of one of these messenger bags as a token of our appreciation for your online donation to REDF of $200 or more.
Specially designed for our supporters by Rickshaw Bagworks, the bag’s custom artwork was screen printed by Ashbury Images—a nonprofit-run business employing at-risk youth in San Francisco that REDF helped start.
REDF helped start Ashbury Images, and other businesses like it here in the Bay Area to create job opportunities and pathways to employment for people with the greatest barriers to work.
Simply make a contribution of $200 or more online and you’ll have the option to receive this limited-edition bag as a “thank-you” for helping us reach toward our goal of putting 1,000 people in jobs by the end of 2010.
An Iconic and Meaningful Design
San Francisco is known the world over for its inspiring architecture and world-class culture. It’s also known for its homelessness.
Nothing represents this dichotomy better than San Francisco’s iconic bridges. For some they are an exhilarating symbol of grandeur, for others, daily shelter.
REDF believes that a job can be a bridge out of poverty to productivity and greater prosperity. For over a decade, we’ve helped San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit organizations start businesses that earn revenue while employing people who would otherwise remain unemployed. Over 3,700 people overcoming histories of homelessness, incarceration, mental disability, addiction and chronic poverty have been employed to date.
This bag’s unique design symbolizes our belief that a job can bring a sense of self-worth and hope for a brighter future. At REDF, we help people to cross the bridge to a better life.
- 100% of all proceeds go directly to REDF’s programs and services — supporting people in need of a job and the nonprofits that employ them.
- Limited quantities available.
- REDF is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Charitable contributions are tax-deductable as allowed by law. Should you elect to receive this acknowledgement gift, the tax-deductible portion of your donation is the value of your contribution less the fair market value of the acknowledgement gift ($180).
